Jennifer Alderson “Jenny” earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from The University of Texas Medical Branch in 2011. She is passionate about helping persons with neurological conditions maximize their functional mobility so that they can reach their goals and experience high quality of life. She has experience working in neuro-rehab and tailoring exercises to meet the needs and abilities of patients in a variety of settings both domestically and internationally including: inpatient rehab, skilled nursing facilities, in home therapy, and *her very favorite setting* outpatient rehab. In 2013, Jenny’s drive to grow in her ability to provide excellent care to patients with neurological conditions led her to further pursue this passion by becoming board-certified (through the American Board of PT Specialists) as a Neurologic Clinical Specialist. Additionally, Jenny is certified in Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery, an evidence-based approach for slowing the rate of progression of Parkinson’s Disease. She has also participated in advanced training for the treatment of various vestibular conditions. If you are struggling with dizziness, unsteadiness or general immobility, or if you’ve been diagnosed with stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain Barre, concussion, or another neurological condition, Jenny would love to work with you! In her free time, Jenny enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter while enjoying the mountains, rivers and waterfalls of WNC, traveling the world, artful baking, and capturing meaningful moments through child and family photography.
